Together with Richard Holden MP, Northern Powergrid are holding two community meetings for residents to hear about improved measures being taken to prepare for any disruption caused by storms this winter following those that occurred last winter. There will be a presentation and opportunity to ask questions.

This will also be an opportunity for you to learn more about our £7.5 million charitable foundation which will be awarding grants to local organisations with a focus on improving energy resilience during emergency events as well as supporting charities combatting fuel poverty. The Northern Powergrid Foundation is open to applications for organisations in County Durham and we will be discussing how to apply and the kinds of projects that will be eligible.

The meetings are taking place on:

  • Friday 14th October, 6:00 – 7:30pm at Jubilee Centre, Dipton, DH9 9DR
  • Friday 21st October, 6:00 – 7:30pm at Eastgate Village Hall, Bishop Auckland, DL13 2HU

Residents are invited to attend for light refreshments 30 minutes before the start of the meetings.
